guys! help!

guys in particular.....does it sound like this certain guy is acting interested? have you ever acted this way towards a woman? any input would help from anyone!

as for the guy scene, its been confusing. 2 weekends ago my friends and i went to see a band i am friends with for awhile now. that night the bass player from the band, who ive known now for almost a year, sort of hit on me? both of my friends went crazy and said he likes me. this is what i wrote about it in my online journal:

"anyway this weird part. i am horrible at knowing if a guy is flirting with me. who it came from confuses me even more. this guy doesnt talk to anyone usually at shows, but that night on their "break" between songs, this guy came right over to our table and sits down next to me and starts telling me how im so "awesome and sweet" and mentioned he loved some pic i left on his myspace page awhile back and is all smiley and happy. by the way, yes i did notice he was sitting extra close to me, how could i not? anyway then he did shots with us and walked around. the show started again, he kept looking at me during the songs, so i sat there like "umm ok?" my one friend was drunk somewhat so went up closer to the band to dance with other people. she comes back and goes "yea i heard him say to the other guys to "play a song for chrissy" so anyway as the night was ending, my friend is like all drunk telling me "you have to give him a hug when we leave!" I didnt say anything to that, Ive never seen this guy hug anyone. on our way out as we were leaving, opening the door who do i run into but him. he was coming back in as we were leaving. so i go "oh hey we are gonna leave" so he just stood there, said bye, then stood there and waited so then im like 'whatever" and i gave him a hug. i give him a hug, and he didnt want to let go. my 2 friends and i walk back to my car and he's still outside watching us walk to the car. i am confused."

fast forward to this morning, i was online on myspace and came across this girl's profile. i have no idea who she is and never met her, but she has a picture of her and and the bass player posted on her page. maybe im just overanalyzing everything. on her profile she says shes single, and i know he's single so maybe im just going overboard. im just sick of being led on and being the girl who guys just see as "that girl". im tired of being the girl a guy meets and then ditches and then right after meets the girl he wants to be with. as for now i guess i just have to wait this one out. i might be seeing him next friday at the next show, i just dont know what to expect...
