Add a dimmer to your bedroom light switch so you can control the brightness of your bedroom lights. It's nice to be on the bed together with your loved one and talk with the lights dimmed.

What a wonderful idea!
Firstly, it's romantic.
Secondly, it can save electicity and money.
Thirdly, you don't have to search around.
:D

For my boyfriend, he would save the trouble and switched it all off.

I know this may be nitpicking, but even better in my experience is to turn off the main bedroom light entirely (if it's on the ceiling) and turn on an incandescent or halogen lamp instead. Shine the lamp up against the wall so that the light reflects off the matte white surface and the room will be bathed in lovely soft, warm, highly diffused light, in which flesh looks great. Halogen is best because it doesn't flicker at 60Hz like an incandescent bulb. Whatever you do though, just stay away from fluorescent lights.

I'm such a dork...
