Questions to get to know him better

I am not a good conversationalist at all. I tend to do alot of nodding and smiling when stuck in conversation with someone, and sometimes if I'm feeling particularly outgoing I may add in a "yeah" after they say something. ;)

But this time I want to initiate a conversation with someone.

I'm not sure if I want to give off vibes that I'm interested in him yet, but I know I definately want a friendship with him because we have alot of things in common and he seems like an interesting person.

I want to have a *real* conversation, not one filled with small talk.

down to the question: If someone were trying to get to know you better, what kinds of questions would you like it if they asked you? I mean questions you genuinally wished people would ask you to get to know you better?

I dont' want to be dull and just stick to the basic ones like "what are your hobbies' "do you have brothers/sisters"?

Any suggestions would be a help.

Actually it really shouldn't matter what you talk about. If you want to talk to him just start basic, like "how are you?" ask him open ended questions so he isn't stuck with the "yes, no" rotuine.
Hopefully he'll want to talk and if he does....well then you got your self a conversation. Oh yea if you get to a dead end and he stops talking ask him about something you would feel confortable talking about.

what i think you should do is when you see him next time and you cant think of what to say ....try to think what you could do

likeeee touch him and make it hard for him to say something.....if it was me and i had nout to say

what i would do is just say what i see, then what i feel and want ever else you can think of and ask the same from him

if you do that then you could be having a relaionship quicker then you know

You will never be able to "just be friends" with him because of your interest in him, so why deny yourself. A friendship is platonic.
