I'm very close friends with this girl from school. We're in all the same classes, and we've pretty much been inseperable since meeting 6 months ago. I'm trying to figure out if she has a romantic interest in me, and here are some possible signs:
- She is very touchy-feely with me. Every time we watch TV/movies at her place or at mine, we always end up leaning up against each other on the sofa. And if I touch or brush up against her hand, she won't pull it away.
- I once was talking to her at a party and had my hand on her knee. I had forgotten it was the knee she had hurt recently. But instead of pushing my hand away, she grabs it and moves it up to her thigh.
- She never talks about guys she's interested in. And she never points other girls out to me.
- She jokes that I'm in love with her. She also jokes often about us being a couple. One of our professors once thought we were married, and since then, she jokes about being my wife.
- She once said my ex probably isn't over me because I'm "so perfect".
- During finals week, her roommates were out of town. She didn't feel safe being alone so she asked me to spend the week with her (I slept in the spare bedroom). I had only known her 3 months at this point.
- About a month ago, I said something to her that strongly hinted I was interested in her. Since that, she hasn't been more distant..in fact, I feel like she's been more flirty since hearing it. Just in the past week she's called me "darling" and "hun".
So what do you guys think of these signs? Do you think she's definitely interested or am I reading too much into it?
