What to do about this problem?

ok theres this girl we arent going out or anything but we both like eachother. Ive just broke the ice, and i was wondering what kinds of things i can talk to her about? And whenever i go up to her and say hi one of our friends cuts in to start talkin to one of us and i never get a chance at getting to know her how do i solve this problem?

well id still like some ideas on how to talk to her without sounding like im interragating her

You should talk about surroundings I guess like sometimes I just say: "man its hot in here" and somehow a conversations starts from that. Or you should just ask her what classes she has and teachers and then proceed from there to find stuff about her. I'm no expert but I'm a pretty shy guy but even I can strike up a conversation or two. And trust me if I can do it you most definitely can dude.
