some do, some don't. it's easy to get bitter and cynical after something like that. not all women jump from one relationship to another.
that bit from the rev about you not being worth her further time - jeez! i don't understand why people would say things like that here. i guess everyone's entitled to their opinion, and this is open forum so people can pretty much say what they want.
my reason for coming back here to acme love all the time and responding to posts is to try to encourage people, not try to kick them when they're down. i don't understand why so many people find it necessary to attack and insult, but hey, that's me.
hey, patsfan, i'm sorry she did that to you. if she wanted to move on in my opinion that was a terrible way to do it. i don't know if girls do that more than guys, haven't seen any statistics on that, but whenever it happens i think it's reprehensible and low, and says way more about the person who does it than the person it gets done to. the rev is clueless, at least about this anyway. in my opinion the situation is just the opposite - someone who doesn't have the decency to be honest and end one relationship first before jumping into another one, wasn't worth YOUR further time. she showed you who she really is. at least you're not wasting any more time in a relationship with someone so lacking in backbone, decency, and character. i'm sure you deserve much better than that.

If you want to know why I said what I said, take a look at the recent thread entitled "help with conversations."
Based on the way patsfan comes off in that thread, i would venture to guess that it is his extraordinarily negative view of women that lead his girlfriend to stop talking to him. Of course that is if he actually had one, I'm still not entirely sure he doesn't just make this sh*t up.

i read a few of his other posts too besides that one just now, didn't do that before i responded, guess i should have. i can see where you're coming from now rev. i stand corrected.

You're 16. You don't know sh*t about relationships. What are you, a sophomore or a junior?

Yeah....and 14linda is out in "Fairy-tale land'" where we all get along and dance like little faries.
Nobody labels anybody and nobody does anything wrong.

How can you encourage something without taking out the bad?

Not at all. What seperates you from me is that I am aware how little I know. I'm only 17 myself, and if I know more than most my age it's because my sister is 8 years older than I am and my brother 15 years. Makes it pretty easy to put high school bullsh*t in perspective.

Dude....
At your age, just get your dick wet and jet.
Most girls are attention whores until they turn 25, espcially at your age. They FLOCK to the guys that treat them like crap because they have all the male-girlfriends and guys that don't know how women work telling them how great they are and stroking their ego.
In high school they always go for the jerks and move on because their so fickle. They are always trying to pin down and win the heart of the all-mighty player trying to change him.
Women like to be used as sex toys and enjoy a good dickin'. Occasionaly, you'll come across one that at times cares about how you feel, but it's TRUELY RARE that you'll find one that savors your feelings.
There's a difference.

although i disagree when he said that its rare to find someone that savors your feelings; everyone has to find that special 'one' if not now than soon -
you just wait and see..
its just a lifetime experience...

What she needs to be taught is a good a double s kicking down the road in the near future.
Like I said Pat forget about that chicken, she ain't the only bird in high school. :cool2:

ok i know u guys are judging ppl becuz of their age on here and maybe u'r right that younger ppl don't have much experience in relationships. we may not have as much as some older ppl, but we're entitled to our own opinion too
ok with that said judging all women is totally unfair, u just have to look at the ppl u'r attracted to. most ppl can point out the whores, i can tell u this from seeng a hell of a lot of them at school. there is a huge line between flirting and seducing
the way you get hurt is when you pick that girl that u know every guy has already screwed, well, duh, it's kinda obvious that she will only want you for a little fun and throw yo aside
i'm also not saying that you can always point these ppl out, some of my own friends have shocked me i this way. but i truly believe that it's a way of life that you have to get burned before you can truly love someone and be in love with them, and this i know from experience and the experience from others, becuz just think if u don't u'r going to take this person for granted and treat them like m.d. said
i'll admit that yes most girls do love attention, but then again, what guy doesn't too? flirting can be fun, you just got to know when you're pushing it. i may only be 16, but i am in love, have been hurt, and deal with people hittin on me, but i, for one, don't go off and f*** everyone one of these guys, and no i do not live in afairy land where everything is so wonderful, i deal with real life everyday.just like you guys do, it's no right to judge all women or all men, each person has their own way of life, but sometimes ppl do show u wht they want from you, you just have to be willing to look
i think some of u need to get ur head out of u asses cuz u r the ones that have the proble with all women, just becuz u haven'tmet the rght one

There is no such thing as a "special one".
Get your head out of the fairy-tale romantic clouds and rejoin reality.
Men want and need sex. Women want and need constant attention.
This isn't going to change.
Men "give up" when they get engaged leading to marriage. Most men have to be suckers now to get the ring because of all women do to them. Women see marriage as insurance.

Hey TheRev!
Let's leave this to the people that know something.
You're only 18, so quit trying to eliminate the elusive obvious by following the nieve female footsteps of accpeting blame for their actions.
TheRev

lol, all I was saying is that anyone who claims that marriage is some sort of trap hasn't been exposed to too very many happy ones. My brother is married, my parents are married, and quite a few of my cousins are married. It happens to most of us eventually. True love may not exist, but love certainly does. I may not have experienced it, but something tells me you haven't either.

Correction, my young squirrel!
It's YOU that hasn't experienced it on a significant account yet.
You have no idea what you're talking about here and to say that I've never been in love is like saying you're "buds" with Hugh Hefner.
Sit down man....don't make it any harder than what it already is on yourself.

I don't quite get the analogy. I am as qualified as any other stranger on the internet to judge you, in any case, and frankly I don't think others would judge too differently.
As I've said before, I understand and agree with most of your opinions to a certain degree. Don't give me this sh*t about me being too young to have a real opinion, because you're 25 and you haven't proved yours any more valid than my own. 25... that's a joke. You think as a 25 year old you know all there is to know about life? You think your opinion is the end all and everyone who disagrees with it is wrong?

There are a lot of very very angry people on this message board! Calm down guys! High school romances are not the end all and be all of life. I promise you will find someone for you at some point. I also promise you that if you have the "get your dick wet and jet" attitude, you will keep ending up with girls who screw you over. I haven't read any earlier posts and thus shall judge only on this thread. PatsFan, it seems to me that you were pretty angry and bitter (and dare I say, hurt) when you wrote your first entry. But if you truly hold the opinion that women are "sex toys", then I definitely am rooting for the girl who dumped you. She could only be moving up on the food chain if you have such a low opinion of women.
I don't mean to be derogotory. Young men have a lot to prove (they think), and being tough may just be an online act. But if you actually think that way in real life, I suggest you take a good look at a woman or girl you love (mom, sis, cousin) and ask yourself how you'd like it if some guy just ed her and ran. There is a lot more to relationships than sex. Learn from your mistake, and treat women just like men. Men with pussies that make them crazy for a few weeks every month and crave flowers 8^).
And for all you 15- and 16-year-olds who are fighting for your rights to be heard, think about the fact that 12-year-olds who have sex and get pregnant know that they're in love too and that they don't need relationship advice from older people. Once you've had more relationships, you know more about them. Relationships come with time. With time, comes age. The 25-year-old isn't any smarter than you, he's just been dumped more times than you, he's fallen in love more often than you. Also, please spell out "PEOPLE". It's only 6 letters and it makes you seem at least semi-literate.

>>>>>I also promise you that if you have the "get your dick wet and jet" attitude, you will keep ending up with girls who screw you over.
That's the whole purpose moron.
To get with girls and do this before they you over.
What part of this aren't you understanding?
Another 20 year-old trying to tell me they know everything, just what I need.
Evidently we touched the nerve on another woman that thinks the world would be such a better place if women had control.
LOL!
