maybe I'm just overanalyzing things but...

This guy drank out of my glass several times the other night, and watched as I drank out of his glass.

Could he have been doing that as a test of whether i like him or not?

I like him but I was convinced that he only wants to be my friend, but my friends think he likes me and just doesn't have the guts to ask me out...

what do you think???

I dont think it means anything but on a positive note: I know I wouldn't drink after a girl I didn't find attractive. If he's watching you sounds like he might be interested.
