What's the difference between love and lust? I just don't get it. How do you konw when You are in love, and how do you know when you are in lust?

I ask my parents this question (who are very much in love) all the time, and they give me, repeatedly, the same answer. They say "Nathan, you just know". And what that means, who knows? But this isn't to say love isn't hard work, because it damn well is. And also, love wouldn't be love without lust. Like everything in the universe, a balance is needed, for example; if you love your partner but do not lust after them (have sexual desires about them) then what hope does your relationship have? People seem to forget, that for something to be healthy, a very delicate balance is needed.
