Unconfident

Hi,
i'm a 20 year old college student who has never been on a date or been in a relationship. I'm not unattractive but very unconfident when it comes to girls. there is a very attractive confident girl who started to look at me strangely, when I made eye contact with her she would look to the right ,she started to wear make up, plays with her hair but now she has stopped looking at me all together. How do I know whether she is attracted to me and why would she stop looking at me ? and do women show off?

I think she kicked me once and threw a ciggerette over my head. she talks to all the other guys in the class but bearly talks to me.

My opinion is, and it's only what I've noticed: when girls look at you and break eye contact by looking to the left or to the right it "sometimes" means that they are not attracted to you but just playing with you (trying to get a reaction of any kind out of you) but if they break eye contact by looking slightly down then away they are interested in you romantically. If they fuss with their hair while glancing at you they are usually interested. If she suddenly stopped doing all this it could mean you didn't give any interested "signals" back to her and she just got bored or gave up. She sounds like an interesting girl.
