There's this girl i like who was going out with a mate of mines but they have split up. I havent told her directly i like her but i think she knows. Thing is she was asking me on who how my love life was doin. She was very persistant in her approach. She kept asking me who do you fancy. I just said well there was this girl a few months ago i liked (which was true) but it didnt work out. She said ok and then blurted out "i think(we'll call him dave) is nice" Dave is in our class for computing. She said though he isnt her type and stuff. Was she just trying to make me jelous here or what? I'm not sure she likes me but she does look over at me in class and at lunch time. We are talking alot on and that now she's not gotta bf. She says she wants to be single for a while which i agree with cause i dont wanna be the rebound guy. So anyway what does it mean when she says she thinks my mates nice and if a girl persistanly wants to know about your love life and sayd stuff like " you should be out there gettin all the girls" Help please

Hmm...sounds like an interesting situation. This girl could very well like you, or she could just genuinely want to be your friend. Keep talking to her and make sure that she knows that you are there for her and a good friend to her. See how things go from there. Respect her need to be single right now, and know that the best relationships are often those that stem from deep friendships.

I feel that she likes me but the thing is ive been wrong in the past about these things. I liked a friend a couple of years ago and i told her i liked her eventually and she was totally shocked. She had to think about it because she wasnt sure how she felt about me. I loved this girl with all my heart at the time and when she told me she just likes me as a friend and nothing more it broke my heart. Am not sayin this is the same i'm not as close to this girl as her the point is i let it drag on for months with my friend and never told her anything. I believed she liked me too more than a friend and i was very wrong. She doesnt seem to be that bothered that her bf broke up with her she says she just gotta test some more merchandise. I respect her wish totally to be single right now due to as i said i dont wanna be the rebound guy. I'm just gonna see how it goes in the coming weeks. Thanx for your reply Cassie.
