If you're on your own terminal, i.e. you don't use any other computer for web stuff, and you're not worried about anyone else who uses the computer stealing your moniker and using it while you're not looking, I recommend setting up your Preferences so that you are Permanently Logged In or some such option. I find it quite handy.

Of course, you shouldn't do that if you have to use a public computer lab.

Did you try clearing your "Sent Items"? It works for me.
