in love with teacher

this really is a weird situation because i've fallen in love with one of my teachers in college.he no longer teaches my class and is not married although i don't know if he's involved with someone. and there's a 12 year age difference but i really don't know what to do, i can't accidentally bump into him somewhere because i don't know where he hangs out but i don't think i feel comfortable writing him an e-mail either...any help would be appreciated!

Do you think that he may feel for you as well? If you do, don't worry so much about the age difference--age is only a number after all. I would be more worried about the politics of dating a professor. Will you have to be his student again at some point? If not, then it is probably ok. Why dont you try going to his office one day and showing an interest in his research? Ask questions ect. Let him know that you like him very very *subtley* dont come on too strong.

no,i won't be taking his class,that would have been weird i guess...well,thanks for your advise.i'll keep you posted if something happens.
