Life is the quality that distinguishes living organisums from dead organisums and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolisum, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli.

There now... don't you feel better.

Actually, if you want a strange philosophical take, my opinion is that the meaning of life is, for women, to have children, and for men, to have lots and lots of sex. Everything else is just what we do so we can survive to have even more sex/children. And what we do after we no longer can have sex/children is to help the children be able to protect themselves better. Everything else I put into a category which i like to call 'don't get bored.' Let's analyze.

Going to that business meeting: So you can keep and/or advance in your job, continue providing money so that food may be purchased, so that you can continue living to have more sex/children.

Downloading porno: This really serves no purpose except to keep the mind occupied in the 'blank space' between having sex and doing other tasks to keep you able to have sex.

Sleep: So you can replenish your strength and do your tasks/have sex.

This is actually a very simple trail to follow, and whether or not it is accurate, it seems to jive pretty well with the general rule of nature--reproduce and survive, or die trying.

Hey,

Since everyone else is so realistic and scientific, i will be the dreamer then...
i guess life is what you feel, and what you think...and more over, life is what you are as an individual.

The Meaning of Life.
Is to find the peace that doesn't make sense.
Finding the true comforter that always loves you.

THe point of this life truly is finding your way into the next life.
Because everyone has an eternity to choose.

That is why we find imortality so appealing, because we really are imortal. This body we have is only a shell, it'll eventually crack and we'll be drawn into the next life before a merciful judge.
Who most likely has told you about his Son. Hopefully you chose Jesus Christ in this lifetime.
Because the choice wont be up to you in the next.

Luckily for me, the point of my life is celebrating my saviour's birth, you actually may unknowingly celebrate with me every Christmas, and even more important than his Birth is his Ressurection where He gave us the gift of eternal life free from all our mistakes. You may also celebrate that, its Easter.
Well, I pray that this letter puts you at ease.
You have been told the meaning of life.

I only tell you this because, no matter what is going on in my life.
I have peace, though I promise I"m not immune to pain.
My life has not been perfect, but my God has been through it all with me. He has given me so many promises, He is my security and strength.

Well,
hope you are having a good day.

Sincerely,
Wisper-

I may as well post a dreamy answer, too.

Life is what happens when you watch the last bits of sunlight fall below the horizon with your lover.

Life is that butterfly that surprised you in your garden.

Life is when you saw the lightning bug and yearned to fly.

Life is not in performing the dance, but being the dance.

Life is the parts that you don't need to think about.

Where there is that flash of beauty, inspiration, and harmony, there is the essence of Life.

In my humble opinion, after years of study ( Philosophy, Psychology, Cosmology, Quantum Mechanics, etc. ) I think I have found the answer.

I must refer you back to the ancients and (Aristippus particularly) their old philosophies. Life is about pleasure and the seeking of pleasure.

It gets complicated by the neccessity to gratify yourself without hurting others.

This is the meaning of life. If indeed a meaning exists.

Perhaps the quest for meaning is simply the need to make sense of an otherwise incomprehensible experience.

We are all just blobs of consciousness trying desperately to join and grow bigger ;)
