I .. after 8 freakin months of being single..(and for the most part lovin it) took a leap of faith and started dating this guy... actually.. we have met before.. but never went on a date yet.. so i guess its still pending. We were supposed to hook up Sunday.. but his car broke down recently and he needs to get it fixed.. also, he told me he was having inspection. He did alert me that the situation looked fairly bleak this monday.. so i wasn't exactly pushed aside on his schedule purposely.. but anyways.. he has plans with me this coming monday and is making it a total surprise.. and considering that i haven't been dating in a while i am pretty forlorn. I think he is absolutely amazing.. but what should i wear and other essentials i might just miss out on.. because i may be great at relationships.. but when it comes to first get-togethers i am a nevous wreck. Also.. our potential to be a great couple is pretty good.. because we did have a convo that lasted for 5 hours and we both loved it. He is so interesting and totally down to earth..

So.. any advice?
:wavey:

dont act slutty, be yourself, laugh at jokes, nothing worse than tellin a joke thats not funny, wear casual clothes, nothing that will grab alot of atention from other guys, dont do him on the first date...

I'd like to emphasize Shad's second piece of advice. For those who just tuned in, that's "Be Yourself." The rest can extend from that. Wear what's you; what you like. Go where you are comfortable. Take things in stride the way you normally do. He's dating *you*, isn't he? Why not give him *you*?

Thank you all for the advice. I cannot wait for Monday! He is so awesome! We get along so well, and we know one anothers boundries.. so there will be no sex.. i am not into one night stands.. usually...

Anyways.. i will probably wear jeans.. nothing too fancy.. little makeup (i hate the caked on look) and lots of confidence.. not to mention curve...

:D

Well, wish me luck!!

Much gratitude,
Marie
