It hurts my back,
The springs and stuff
Unconditionally I toss and turn
All throughout the night

Where were you
My sleeping partner
When I had that bad dream

What happened
Where did you go
I needed you
To hold
On those windy nights
Those sheets felt cold
As ice

As I lie awake in the darkness
Of our love room
Remember
Thats what you used to call it

I guess that was way back before you knew
You were an alcoholic
Ah the moonlight shines through our
Big window
Reflecting
On those wine glasses

Laying there together
You mentioned that
You would never leave
This room
Alone

I think back on
Our wonderful short
Life
Together

Those days falling in love
You said
I should never lose my trust
In the room where
Our two hearts would
Forever lay

As I recall
The night was stormy
Our room was
Empty and cold
You said
You couldn't see us
Together
Growing old

When you left
You took
Everything
And left me
With the matress and
Boxspring
