View Full Version : A Soul Colored Black

Here is something that,
My soul told me once,
To deny yourself love,
Brings woe for an instance.
The colors that a soul,
Gives off, such beauty,
With eyes of warm embrace,
No more thoughts, just empty.
A man sits on a cliff,
With his loyal friend, “Loneliness,”
Indeed, he is due for a visit,
Been neglectful, and careless.
His loyal friend speaks,
In utter, and total demand,
In a way that only his soul,
Can fully understand.
The subterfuge thickens,
An iceberg has been tipped,
The rest just crumble into ash,
A soul has been stripped.
An added variable initiates,
A wild card is played,
Another quest to yet conquer,
False vows are then made.
Darkness lies where it is spawned,
Death is, but a mere door,
Time? Of course, a window,
Life? A game…no score.
Twists, and turns,
Back, and forth,
I still keep missing,
That icon of worth.
Just something I was told.
By an old, lost soul.
That somehow retained,
Its dignity as a whole.
