how obvious?

Hello.

I recently started hanging out with this one girl I've known for a while. Sexy, smart, nice, funny, all that good stuff. Whenever we've hung out, she instigates the touchy-feely with me; throwing her arms around me, jumping on me and wrestling, laying down next to me and staring me in the eyes. When I do the same, she doesn't shrug away or anything, so I figure that there's something there.

However, half the time, she is talking about how this other guy she is lusting after does not return her affections. And it seems to drive her nuts.

Last time we hung out, she was a little tipsy, but I was sober so I could stay in control and not act like an ass, you know? For hours, she was draping herself over me while we were watching tv and the like... even after she sobered up.

I haven't really spent much time with her in person, with other people around, so I'm not sure if she acts like this with everyone, or just me, or what.

My question is... what should I be doing? Am I that knuckleheaded for ignoring these seemingly obvious signs? Or am I doing the right thing for taking it slowly, and playing it safe?

Well she either likes you or she's a huge flirt. :D

The only problem I've got here is that she's talking to you about a guy she's after who's not responding. That can be taken in two ways.

1. She actually likes this guy and doesn't want to be more than friends with you, or
2. She's trying to tell you that she doesn't like guys stuffing around (ie. you) and wants you to make a move.

I personally think she's trying to give you the hint, but I could be completely wrong. The best thing to do is to see how she reacts with other people around. If it's the same, then you've got something!!
