View Full Version : co worker
In need of some help - I'm interested in a female co-worker, and don't know how to approach her. I just imagine being shot down and making work akward from then on. Please help.
Do you two work closely together? How long have you been working together? Maybe just start slow by seeking her out...seeing if you two have anything in common. The worst that could happen would be that you find out that you aren't really all that compatible and you can still be friends.
Her and I work on the same floor and see each other often during the day. I don't, however, have much time during the day to get to know her, which is why I would like to ask her out.

Don't approach her thinking you'll be shot down...that just adds to the nervousness of asking her out. Also, make eye contact and smile...there's nothing more inviting than someone that has confidence in themselves, and no better way to show it than a smile. Just approach her and tell her that you guys really don't get a chance to stop and talk much at the office, and you would like to get to know her better...ask her to a coffee shop or to dinner or something like that. You never know...she might be interested too, and is just waiting for you to make the first move! Good luck!:)

I agree with smiles you should ask her out as friends first then see where it goes from there.

Be nice, be personable.
Don't start in with her about anything more serious than friendship, first, and you might have an easier time of things.

Go for it! Im telling you. Ive had guys Ive been interested at my work and found out later that I could have had a chance. Just the timing was off.....cuz I never went for it. Talk to her and then casually mention seeing a movie with her. IF she says yes then its all good. If she doesnt then oh well....at least you know instead of wondering.
Thanks for the advice - I'll give it a try - and get back to you on how it works out
