A replica of me

If I made you one,
would it make you happy...
would it satisfy your soul,
would it quench your thirst of me...

What if I gave you the remote control
so eventually...
when you get bored with me
you can switch to Channel Z...

I'd paint her skin in tones of honey
and crown her head...
in strands of soft, sun-ripened wheat
I'd draw for you...
the most perfect, dreamy, baby blues...
and create lips that will excite you
and whisper..."...I love you..."

Her touch, will caress you
wash away those fears...
her voice, will enchant you,
calm, the stormiest of seas...
her kiss can thaw a mountain, and send you...
tumbling to your knees

I'd give you a body...'for thy to worship'
I'd give you a mind...'for thee to explore'
I'd give you a love...'so pure and simple'
but I'm afraid, your heart might crumble...
are you sure, you want a replica of me?

interesting. Can you share the reason why you wrote this poem?

hi Katty,

Yes, it is an interesting poem... I wrote it because I was thinking if two people could fall in love with you at the one time would cloning yourself satisfy every need they might have? I wondered if you were able to do so would that make it easier in life but of course it wouldn't.

It was written simply in a moment of thought... a thought of 'what if' you could make everyone happy but I know that 's just not possible.
