There's this girl. I've known her for like a year, through other friends and school. We hadn't really ever talked alot or anything, just small-talk at the most.
Without going into details, things b/t us are different now. We've been going out (as friends - i think) and doing things just about every night for the past week or two. Movies, sporting events, etc. Sometimes with friends, but often just the 2 of us; but i'm not sure that it's not only b/c one of our friends, that we had often done things with, is on vacation.
There is definately a chemistry b/t us. We are alike in enough ways that make us get along well, but there are still plenty of differences - to keep things interesting. We have a great time no matter what we're doing; it's awesome. When i'm with her, I almost never feel insecure about anything - and that is rare for me.

With that all said - I'm not sure if she's just an awesome friend or if it's more. I can NEVER tell - I've been in similar confusing situations in that past, and I always just play it safe and we remain "just friends". Maybe that's why 90% of my close friends are female.
Because my lack of insight - I've never really been big on dating, so I'm not sure what steps there are to take to get to the next level. Do you just have a talk (that sounds awkward) , does it just happen and both people know, or what?
