News about one of my poems

As I checked the mail today, I received some good news
regarding one of my poems, I wrote yesterday.
They are going to publish my poem, and I have a good
chance of winning some grand prizes.
I new it would win from the start, because I wrote it from
my heart.
Romeo, If it wasn't for you, my poem wouldn't be published.
I am very proud, and spoke about it.
When I receive copies of the poem, I am going to frame it.
And give one to you, so you can treasure it too!

Thank you so much for your reply, and It was the first
poem that I wrote.

It will be published this winter in The Silence Within 2001.
It made me so happy, when I read the letter.
Recently I went on a job interview, and I didn't get
it. And it really upset me, but this really cheered my up, in
so many ways.

I am not sure, if my Romeo read this post yet. If he doesn't
feel the same about me, at least he will be proud of me.

I have made copies of all my work, so nobody can copy them.

Which is the poem that got selected? Can you share it with us?

Hello Joey,

"I feel you in my presence" is the poem, and it is the very
first one, I wrote. It has alot of meaning to that picture.
They only publish a fraction of poems that, they receive.
I also, mailed them another poem, and it is
"Regarding Romeo and Juliet"
If I am lucky, they will publish both of these poems.

Congratulations!! That's awesome. You wanna hear something coincidental? I have a poem that is going to be published in the same anthology, "The Silence Within." Tell me, have you been invited to the convention in D.C.? If so, that would be even better. Because I've been invited, and I intend on going. It would be neat to see someone else there that I know. There was a section to sign up for reservations, but I didn't
fill it out. (on the computer)I will go, If I get an invitation.
But I wasn't formally invited, not yet.
My poem is in the semi-finalist stage, and the winner will be
announced in July.

Did they send you an invitation through the mail?

Yes, I recieved an invitation in the mail. I also have made the semi-finals, but I couldn't remember when they are suppossed to announce the winner. In July, eh? Cool. Well, again congrats, and good luck to you.:cool:
