I'm a shy guy!

I've been single for over a year now, I'm a type of shy guy when it comes to girls. I just don't know how to approach to a girl and say the right things...I guess I'm just scared of rejection. This is my weakness in relationships, but one I'm in a relationship I seem to do fine. I'm a true gentleman.

Any suggestions ?

Wow, you sound a lot like me. So, you are not alone.

I would suggest just relaxing and being your self around girls. Don't over think things and what you want to say to them. Just be natural. Things will fall into place when you do that. Sometimes you just need to be patient too. I know... that is easier said than done!

Above all... you can't be afraid of rejection.
Just recently I dated 2 girls... both were not for me... got involved in a relationship again with a previous girlfriend... gave it a second chance... she breaks it off... happens! you just got to hold your head high, dust your self off and get your self right back on that "proverbial horse" we call romance! :cool:

Just to add to what's already been said, don't worry about what to say to a girl. As long as you are sincere in your efforts, most of them will respect and appreciate that. As long as you relax and be yourself, you'll find it's not at all difficult and will end up making heaps of new friends (and maybe lovers...)

I used to be a lot like you, I was so shy I pretty much never talked to a girl with out at least three drinks before hand, but it seems like after you get laid a couple of times it just seems to fade away. My suggestion would be to just do like I did and go to parties, get drunk, talk to girls who also just happen to be drunk, and uh, let nature take its course ;)

Give some of the girls who most guys don't flock to a chance. You might be surprised. :rolleyes: ;) :D Usually if there are a flock of girls who have all kinds a guys around them... it's intimidating (well, I know it's is when it's vice versa in my case) ... but there's usually always the one kind of in the shadows, not really talking to anyone, looking like they're having a bummy time... they aren't ugly, but they don't look like they stepped out of a fashion magazine -- they are probably bored and tired of all the bitchy/popular girls that are getting all the damn attention.

Like I said, you might be surprised. Because some of these girls are just waiting for someone to talk to them, waiting for someone to love... he he ... they are waiting for YOU ;)
