How are you going to spend your Valentine's day and what gifts are you going to give?

Ladies, what gifts would you think is romantic?

What do you think is romantic to do on Valentine's day.

Let's talk about it.

Well technically i won't see my boyfriend until the 15th or 16th, but putting that aside;

A romantic gift is something my boyfriend is putting special effort into comming up with a gift for me. It doesn't even have to be anything material. An example of this was when i recieved a present of a check written for a billion hugs and kisses. Even though he had no money he came up with a great gift. (and i got hugs, kisses and attention on demand because of that check ;) )
It definately was better than the passe flowers and chocolates although i enjoy those too, creativity is what really is romantic to me.

Romantic on Valentines Day to me would be spending the whole day together. A candle lit dinner or watching the sunset, etc, would be great also. I would be happy just playing board games and talking and watching movies at home together just fine though. :)

What about you Byron?

The sunset speil is so hackneyed.

Much more romantic would be for you to go out at 5 or 6 in the morning (do this especially on summer nights) and walk through the fields or in a forest. It should still be fairly dark out, with just a shade of gray in the east. Just listen for the birds waking up, for the rabbits in the grass, and touch the cool dewey leaves. Listen a little harder and you can feel the very forest growing around you. This is the sound of life. It is the deepest life you will ever hear, deeper than the breath of the beloved beside you or the waking animals. Look for Venus, and the moon, and the lovely constellations in the sky. And wait for the sun to rise, slowly flooding the sky with inky yellow, and stare directly at that ink until a beam of light bursts over the edge of the world and you see God's creation in its fullest glory.

Then go home.

i'm soooooo sorry for being too lame for you. The problem for me is that unfortunately I have a job to attentd and college classes and I prefer to to watch the stars spin across the night sky not fall into the day. (Astonomy is a hobby.)

I also believe that Byron asked what was personally romantic not to dis other peoples' ideas of romantic.

So instead of telling everyonehow lame you think my idea of romantic is why don't you just state what you think is romantic.

Sorry, AngelDragon, for dissing. It's rude and inexcusable. Really sorry.

But I too have college classes and a job and research and volunteering and MCAT's to get ready for and I would do the same thing regardless of it all.

Btw, did you watch the Leonid showers? They were AMAZING this year.

I agree with the dragony person.

If it were at all possible for me to be with my girlfriend on Valentine's day, I'd much rather stay up and watch the sunset, then look at the stars. I'd rather be able to fall asleep with her in my arms than get all settled in to watch the sunrise, and then have to get up and do the stuff of the day.

Also, I'm not a morning person, and getting up while it's still dark out isn't my cup of tea at all.

OT Ya but 5 in the morning I think is the best .In the summer it starts to get warm out.You can smell the grass and hear the crickets. The full moon makes everything glows. No cars and no people just you and nature.
I worked third trick so the sun would come up then I would go home and go to bed.
