IT DEPENDS UUPON THE MOOD WHEN THE KISS TAKES PLACE AND YESTHE KISS CAN BE THE MOST INTIMATE ...

I definately think kissing is sometimes better than sex.
Kissing is more innocent and when it's slow and gentle - it seems to mean more than the sex.
Lots of people go out to a bar to find someone to get laid (a position apparently easily filled- anyone will do)- most people don't go out to bars hoping to find someone that they'd be perfectly happy sitting on the couch fully clothed just kissing and running fingers through eachother's hair. You have to actually like the person to be happy with that and then it can be very special.
